| When undertaking genealogical research in
Saskatchewan, it is often necessary to know the name and/or number of the
Rural Municipality (RM) in which documents or cemeteries are located. This
is not always easy or obvious so the SGS is pleased to provide you with a
number of ways to find the RM you need.
RM by Area allows you to find an RM by geographical area within Saskatchewan. If you know the name of a particular community (city, town, village, hamlet, etc.) in Saskatchewan, use the RM by Community. If you want to locate the RM in which an Indian Reserve is located then RM by Reserve is your best bet. If you want to find the number of an RM when you know the RM name, then use the RM by Name link. Use RM by Number if you want to find the name of an RM when you know its number.
