This session will review the basics, how to use the 5W’s, analyze the data collected to determine what is truth or fact, plan for further searching, where to search and what you might find.

 

This is an introduction to genealogy research.  Covered will be how to get started, where to begin, an explanation of what pedigree charts and family group sheets are and how to use them to record your information and your sources.

 

This session will expand on the use of logs and keeping track of what you have done and where you have searched, the need for sourcing and how to source.

 

You will be taken through the analyzing process and from there to planning a research.

This session will cover some of the basics - search engines, bookmarking along with the good, bad and ugly of Internet usage.  What you can expect to find and how to access information will be covered in the online trip through the Internet..
