The SGS will do a basic search of Saskatchewan sources. We require a given name and surname. If possible a Saskatchewan location.

Sources searched:

· Homestead index and file

· Obituary index

· Cemetery index and file

· Local histories

· Newspaper index

· Saskatchewan Resident Index (SRI)

· Census Index 1891 and 1901 for Assiniboia East, Assiniboia West and the District of Saskatchewan.  1906, 1911, 1916 for Province of Saskatchewan

· Family histories (SGS Library Catalogue)

Additional sources may be checked if a locality is given or found as a result of the search.  If a specific date for an event is given a newspaper check may be done if available.

This search includes research for information regarding a particular person or couple only, and only includes other family members such as children if they are included in articles pertaining to the person or couple being researched.

You will receive a written report of the research that has been done, noting all the sources checked and making recommendations for further research that could be done. Up to $2.00 worth of copying plus postage is included. Beyond that copying charges would be quoted. Current fees are $0.30 per page for paper to paper copies and $0.50 per page for microfilm to paper copies.
